Learn More About Me
Personal. How shall I introduce myself to you? I'm a contemplative and an introvert, but also a teacher and leader. I'm a person of deep faith and a 1 on the Enneagram. I'm married to a fabulous human being and together we have two more fabulous little humans (ages 8 and 5 1/2). I grew up in the suburbs of Portland and that city will always have a piece of my heart. We moved to Bend to spend more time outside -- I love cross-country skiing, trail running, and paddleboarding for much-needed time to myself. I also enjoy recreating with my family and friends by mountain biking, downhill skiing, hiking, camping, floating the river, and having full-on dance parties in the kitchen. At the end of an ideal day, you would find me curled up with a good book amidst the sounds of Brandi Carlile or the Wailin' Jennys.
Professional. I have always loved literature and writing, and have always been drawn toward helping people. These twin passions have led me to roles in counseling and in education. After working in the field of counseling psychology early in my career, I have since been a teacher for 13 years in high school and university settings. Coaching is an exciting marriage of teaching and counseling. As a coach, I help clients move toward the life they want by identifying goals and desires, examining what is holding them back, and crafting smart action plans, one step at a time. I believe we are meant to thrive. Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. I can help you develop better ways to handle the hurdles that are standing in the way of your goals. When your habits and approaches are aligned with who you are and what you want, you will experience greater peace and deeper joy.
